About The Practice

A member of our community needs our support! Justin Lepri was hospitalized and diagnosed with advanced Stage 5 kidney failure at the end of his senior year of high school. His kidney failure was caused by a very rare and complex genetic disorder—a lifelong condition that, without any obvious warning signs, had damaged his kidneys for many years to a critical level. Justin needs a kidney, and he needs our help! He was recently accepted onto the National Kidney Transplant Waiting List, but Justin’s care team has strongly encouraged the family to search for a living donor. Without a transplant in time, he will need to begin dialysis—a treatment that requires critical daily care and would bring even more significant challenges to his young life. While he waits to find a donor the financial burden of this journey is growing, even with health insurance. Raising funds for Justin would help with: Co-pays Deductibles Medications Frequent travel to and from Gainesville for treatment Specialist appointments Medical testing and lab work Transplant surgery Post-op care and recovery And other expenses that come with a long-term medical care-giving Please join us for this donation-based community yoga class, where all the proceeds go directly to Justin Lepri $100,000 goal to support his medical expenses! This class will be adapted to cater to needs of the individuals in attendance. The physical yoga practice will be complemented by breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness techniques. Modifications and props will be encouraged, and physical assists are available upon consent. There is no minimum or maximum contribution and no expectation to purchase anything else. Registration is not required but encouraged. Attendees can pay with a cash or online donation relevant to their financial ability, or to reflect their donation to Justin's medical expenses. **If you are interested in applying to become Justin's living kidney donor you can apply here: https://redcap.ctsi.ufl.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=XNCTAY4CHJDHM44M *Please note: every Intera teacher brings their own unique style and intention to class, so elements like lighting, music, consensual hands-on assists, the physical orientation of class, and the length of Savasana (up to 10 mins) will vary. What remains consistent is our commitment to offering a welcoming, inclusive, and thoughtfully held experience where every person is invited to practice in the way that feels right for them.
