About The Practice

Practice for Peace is a monthly gathering to move, breathe, meditate, and practice peace together. Each month will center around a different reflection on peace and what gets in the way of it. We'll begin with a short teaching on the topic of the month, with space for reflection, journaling, or sharing, followed by gentle movement to prepare the body for stillness, pranayama, and a longer guided meditation centered around peace and loving-kindness. We'll close by offering our practice beyond ourselves, to a person, community, or place in need of peace, with the option to join in mantra or chanting. All are welcome in this open-level community practice This offering will be adapted to cater to needs of the individuals in attendance. Use of props, modifications, and physical assists are available upon consent. Registration is not required but encouraged. For this donation based practice, attendees can pay with a cash or online donation relevant to their financial ability, or to reflect their appreciation for the practice. There is no minimum contribution and no expectation to pay later or purchase anything else. This class is included with all Intera Yoga memberships and class packages. If you’re not a member, you are just as welcome. *Please note: every Intera teacher brings their own unique style and intention to class, so elements like lighting, music, consensual hands-on assists, the physical orientation of class, and the length of Savasana (up to 10 mins) will vary. What remains consistent is our commitment to offering a welcoming, inclusive, and thoughtfully held experience where every person is invited to practice in the way that feels right for them.
